SO YOU THINK ALL THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERS WERE CAUGHT...?

When Inspector Grappler of Scotland Yard claimed that not all of the gang that carried out the Great Train Robbery in August 1963 were brought to justice he was received with scorn by his contemporaries. However, the death-bed confession by an old crook, made many years later, appears to confirm Grappler’s theory and so Harry Wildman is brought in by the executors of his will to investigate. His enquiries take him to Spain and Gibraltar as well as the streets of London, but it is when he travels to interview a former journalist in Kent that the story takes a truly sensational twist. Wildman stumbles upon an incredible cover-up and scandal that reaches to the highest echelons of the British government and as he gets closer to discovering the true identity of one of the train robbers it brings him into direct opposition to the dark forces of the Establishment and puts his own life at risk. The book is set in both 1963 and the present day and involves Wildman in a thrilling climax back at the scene of the original robbery at Sears Crossing in Buckinghamshire.
